Nothing you make is shown to anyone unless you share it. When you press Share on a result, what the other person gets depends on your device.
What Share does
- On a phone, Share usually opens your share sheet with the file itself. Whoever you send it to gets a copy of the file, as with any photo or video you send.
- Elsewhere, or where the share sheet cannot take the file, Share makes a private link. On a computer it is usually copied for you, with the note "Link copied. Anyone with it can see this result."
What someone with the link sees
Anyone who has the link can open it, including anyone it is forwarded to, and they do not need an Evili account. The page says Shared with you and shows:
- a picture of the result (a still picture, not the playing video),
- the template's name,
- a Download button, so they can save the file.
The photo you uploaded is never on that page. The page is not published anywhere, but a chat app may show a preview picture of the result when the link is pasted into it.
How to stop a link working
There is no separate switch to turn a link off. Deleting the result stops the link working: open it from My generations and select Delete. Delete acts straight away, so download the result first if you want to keep it. A link also stops working when the result reaches the end of its 30 days.
Deleting cannot take back a file someone has already downloaded, or a file you sent through your share sheet.
If you need a link stopped and cannot delete the result yourself, write to support@evili.ai.
Someone shared a result that shows you
A shared Evili result has an address that starts with evili.ai/s/. Send that link to support@evili.ai. See Reporting content, or a photo of you.
